1 On the map, you need to begin by putting coloured dots, or stickers, on the places that have special meaning to you. Home would be a good start! Make sure you include an annotated key on the back of your map. What is this place and why is it special?

Then shade the area that you have enclosed. This is your place. Finally, give your map the title My Place.
What problems did we face in our attempt to define our place? Some of us may have been limited by the map! The area we defined, may include places that we have no associated with- the map is not the territory.
