9. Correctly format your article and book/magazine/newspaper titles. Articles titles are place in “Article Title.” Names of books, newspapers, and magazines are italicized.

10. Be Flexible……Be Logical…Think!! You may begin to shift cards that you originally placed in one sub-topic to another sub-topic area if it that card’s information better suits or supports another area.

11. Do not use phrases such as “My opposing argument is..” or “This topic suggests…” Simply write with a voice of authority. You’ve done the research and your paper is credible.

12. Be Organized!! Keep your cards in the same order as your outline……you will use their information to expand, explain, and analyze as you write your paper.

17. Random questions from you…. Can I switch my cards into other sub-topics? Do I need to enter every card? What if a note card is redundant or I don’t want to use it in my paper. Can I use first and second person in quotes? How do I know when to spell out numbers? If I don’t have a page number, should I use (WEB). Do I have to use a “first signal phrase” again when I used that source in another sub topic.
