Enrichment Plan 2011 North Mecklenburg High School
Beginning Stage 2 We have completed Stage 1 of the PLC process, and now we are moving to Stage 2. We are going to look at the plan to move students in order make certain they are getting the Enrichment they need.
Enrichment Proposal Idea – Provide 45 minutes remediation and re-testing during 3 rd block on each Tuesday and Thursday. Proposal – Each week, 3 rd block accumulates 10 hours (2.5 more than other blocks). Tuesday and Thursday of each week, we will transition to focus on the following: Alg. 1, Alg. 2, Bio., Eng. 1, C&E, US, EC, Study Halls, Acceleration & Student Gov.

Enrichment Hierarchy 1 st Priority – EOC, AP and IB Courses – Students with C or below consider: How many EOC, AP, IB courses the student is taking? What are the students grades in course(s)? How far behind (goals and objectives) is the student? When is the Exam – May or June?
Enrichment Hierarchy 2 nd Priority – VOCATS and EOY Courses – Students with a C consider: How many VOCATS or EOY courses the student is taking? What are the students grade in the course(s)? How far behind (goals and objectives) is the students? When is the Exam – May or June?
Enrichment Hierarchy 3 rd Priority – Summative Exam Courses – with a C or below consider Students with a C or below will go to Study Hall intended for time to provide time for work. Students with an A or B can go to Acceleration classes. The computer labs will be available for Castle Learning, NovaNET, mandatory assignments by a teacher, or a requested option from a student to complete computer-based assignments.
