Most mammals: They are warm-blooded. Mammals have hair or fur. Mammals give birth to live young. o Mammals feed their babies with mothers milk. o Mammals breathe through lungs.

The panther is Floridas state animal. It is one of the most endangered mammals on earth. It is tan and brown on the back and pale gray underneath. A panthers height is about 23-27 inches at the shoulder for males. Females are smaller. Panther Males are about 7 feet from nose to tip of tail for males. They are about 6 feet long for females. Males have an average weight of 130 lbs. Females weigh about 70-75 lbs. They live about 10-15 years.
