6 Graduate Research Assistantships (GRA) 1.Students work for 20 hours per week (some less) in faculty projects ( Currently 60+ students have GRA position) 2. A GRA is eligible (Not guaranteed) for tuition remission All GRAs are guaranteed in-state tuition + health Insurance Out of state tuition depends on availability of funds Usually 4 to 5 out-of state first-year students are guaranteed full tuition remission Criteria for Tuition award: Full time student status; high quality performance in course work; high quality performance in GRA work; financial need Maximum Number of out-of -state tuition awards for a single student:10 semesters Department of Biostatistics University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
