8. 7 Federal Initiatives for 2011-12  Gainful Employment  Final regs (October 2010) require schools to disclose job placement rates for programs that prepare students for gainful employment.  Affects CCC certificate programs only

9. 8 Gainful Employment  Proposed Reg/Definition:  Of all students that received a credential during year:  % that were gainfully employed in occupation for which they were trained or related field for at least 13 weeks within 6 months after receiving degree.  Satisfactory documentation: written statement from student’s employer, signed copies of income tax forms, or state-sponsored workforce data systems

10. 9 Gainful Employment  Problems and feedback ensued!  Beginning July 1, 2011:  Institutions will disclose job placement for each gainful employment program using rates already required by its accrediting agency or State.  This interim method will be used until NCES/IPEDS develops a methodology.  SSA match, state EDD system preferred
