Using Natural Resources By Sarah,Lily,Kasey, Matthew Jakob
nonrenewable and renewable resources Earth has two types of natural resources, renewable and nonrenewable resources. Renewable resources can be replaced. Solar energy, witch is energy the sun gives off is one renewable resources.
Why soil is a renewable resource A big clump of dirt is actually an important resource –soil. Soil covers most of earths land surface. Many animals such as chipmunks and rabbits and woodchucks make their home in the soil. Trees and other plants need soil to live to. Like water soil is a nonliving natural resource that earth renews
Clay Clay soil is made of mostly of the very small particles. Clay may be different colors because of the materials in it. Clay with iron particles looks red.
Silt Soil with slightly larger particles are called silt. Silt particles feel smooth.
Sand Sandy soil contains particles from different materials. The most common mineral in sand is quarts. Sand that forms from volcanic rock may be black.
