The vendor extract must be able to populate all data elements in the schema. There are 12 mandatory data elements that are enforced by the XML Schema. The XML file will not load if these fields are not populated. XML Data Elements Required vs Recommended
TREX Required vs Recommended The schema cannot enforce all required fields because : Some elements are required for the transcript but not the student record. Example: Graduation Date
TREx Required vs Recommended Some data elements are required for certain student populations, but are not relevant for all students. Example: Special Education or Disciplinary Action These data elements are still required if applicable
