3. Why Texas and Norway? Both important players in global energy markets Strong presence of Norwegian industry in Texas 150 Norway related companies. Long history of university collaboration in the petroleum sector. 10 000 Norwegian expats in Houston region. 12 years of cooperation in the medical field: – MD Anderson Cancer Center, now also Memorial Hermann, Texas Heart Institute, Baylor College of Medicine Complementary expertise in such areas as energy, space and nanotechnology
