New Scope ■ Working group’s new title: ‘Smart Metering Systems Functions & Processes’ ■ Most smart metering systems include accounting, charging and supply control and hence WG15’s scope now reflects this. ■ The functions and processes may reside in the meter, the head end system or other devices. New Work ■ New work items were raised to draft a new framework standard (62055-1-0) and smart metering (payment) functions (62055-61) ■ Positive vote but insufficient experts to proceed. ■ Draft for comments circulated to revise 62055-41 to cater for markets where STS is not used.
