You WANT me to make a paper airplane??? A lesson in calculating the speed of an object.

2
What is speed? Speed is a measure of how fast an object moves.

3
How is speed measured? Speed is measured by a unit of distance divided by a unit of time.

4
How do I calculate the speed of an object? In order to calculate the speed of an object, do the following: –Measure the distance the object went. –Measure the time that the object went. –DIVIDE THE DISTANCE BY THE TIME!

5
Example: Distance: 20 miles Time:4 hours Speed = 20 miles( 20 / 4 = 5 ) 4 hours The speed of this object is 5 miles per hour (mph).
