6. The word “holy” means “set apart”, “sacred” and “dedicated”. When applied to God, this word carries with it the essential idea of uniqueness. God is totally apart from us, in a class by Himself, and absolutely unique.

7. Men may manifest a certain kind of love. But God’s love is uniquely divine. Men may possess a certain level of wisdom. But God’s wisdom is uniquely divine. His holiness therefore is the defining quality of all his attributes.
