1 Christmas B y: Alexis D’Zurilla

2 What is Christmas?  Christmas is a holiday celebrated by Christians on December 25 th. For Orthodox Christians it is celebrated on January 7 th but both days still celebrate it for the same purpose which is the birth of the Christians Masaya, Jesus Christ.

3 Christmas Traditions  For my Christmas tradition, My family puts makes an Italian dessert called Struffoli. Which consists of basically dough and orange shavings rolled into balls, fried then rolled in honey.

4 Who is Santa Claus?  A magical figure who every Christmas is able to deliver gifts to children all over the world in a sleigh with reindeer. He has elves that help him make toys for kids all around the world in the North Pole. His wife is Mrs. Claus also helps him along the way.

5 Watkinsville Christmas Parade  A parade that takes place in Watkinsville, Georgia at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on December 6 th. This years theme is “Walking in a Winter Wonderland in Watkinsville” They there are floats, a marching band and more.

6 Watkinsville Christmas Tree Lighting  My favorite Christmas event here in Georgia is the Christmas Tree Lightning where there are carolers, hot chocolate, and snacks and then my favorite part where we watch them light the big beautiful tree in Watkinsville.

7 Why I love Christmas  Listening to traditional Christmas music, going to church on Christmas Eve with all my family, and opening up presents on Christmas day. Ect.
