1. Young People’s Advisory Group EPIC works in partnership with the Department for Education and is supported by the Council for Disabled Children.

2. Who are we? EPIC is a disabled young person’s advisory group who work with the Department for Education and the Council for Disabled Children to make sure the voice of disabled young people is heard.

3. There are 14 EPIC members aged 14 – 25 years old.

4. What do we do? Right now EPIC is working to make sure young people have a say in the changes the government wants to make to the way disabled young people are supported. This work is part of the SEND reforms in the Children and Families Bill.

5. The EPIC group - Gives feedback and advice on the development of the SEN reform programme. Highlights and help to tackle the challenges involved in implementing many of the reforms contained within the Children and Families Bill. Works directly with officials to ensure that the Green Paper reforms reflect the experience and expertise of disabled young people. Decides how best to represent the views of disabled children and young people at the SEN and Disability National Advisory Group (NAG).
