AdventureTruth: He ____ me values

Now he had to go through Samaria. So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour. John 4:4-6

When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) John 4:7

The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) John 4:8-9

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” John 4:10

“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14

Be ______ thirsty

“God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” Psalm 63:1

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress… for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. Psalm 107:6,9

Be ______ honest

“Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.” John 4:15

He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.” John 4:16

“I have no husband,” she replied. John 4:17

“You are right when you say you have no husband. The fact is you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.” John 4:17-18

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord” – and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Psalm 32:5

…he knows the secrets of the heart… Psalm 44:21

You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord. Psalm 139:2-4

Be ________ accepting

“I can see that you are a prophet.” John 4:19

“…the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” John 4:23

“I who speak to you am He.” John 4:26

“To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.” Revelation 21:6

“Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes let him take the free gift of the water of life.” Revelation 22:17

AdventureTruth: He me values

When we accept this truth, it changes not only how we see ourselves… it changes our view of God… and that changes everything!
