Unfair Laws In Alabama there were many laws that were unfair. One law was that black people had to give up their seats on the bus to white bus riders. Martin and his friends wanted to change these unfair laws.
Martin Goes to Washington, D.C. In 1963, Martin and his friends went to Washington, D.C.. He gave a famous speech called I Have A Dream. His speech said that he wanted all people to be treated fairly. People listened to Martins speech and many unfair laws were changed.
Martin Wins the Nobel Peace Prize In 1964, Martin won the Nobel Peace Prize. This prize is given every year to the person who does the most for world peace.
