2  Area around the coast that receive winds coming from the oceans most likely have a Marine West Coast Climate. Most winters will be rainy and not really cold. Summers will most likely be cool. Some places, like Ireland and the United Kingdom receive very heavy rainfall. In fall trees will lose their leaves, just like here. Evergreens that have cones and needles will also thrive.

3 The winters are mild and rainy. The summers are not dry. Also the summers are not cool. The vegetation includes short trees, shrubs, or chaparral. Winters are similar to the Marine West Coast Climate.

4  Summers can be extremely hot. Winters are long and freezing. Humid Continental Climate is located in North America, Europe, or Asia. The vegetation is deciduous trees and vast grassland. This is the opposite of the Marine West Climate.

5  Regions close to the tropics have Humid Subtropical climates. Rainfall here is relatively high especially in the summer months. Winters are short and mild. Summers are long and hot. Palms, magnolias, and oaks grow in Humid Subtropical Climates.
