2 Mummification After death, Egyptians believed the body separated into three parts: physical body, spirit (ka), & personality (ba). Embalming was developed in 2600BC (preserving human remains) Very expensive, only the wealthy could afford it Once mummified, they would be buried in their tomb along with objects necessary for the afterlife

List three ways the Egyptians used the Nile to advance their civilization.
