22 Remember to insert the questions and multiple choice answers into the 15 question slides! This game works best when played individually or in small groups, since it is easier to decide on which answer to select in the short amount of time given. As a whole-class-participation game, this template still could work, it would just require quick thinking and collaboration to decide upon an answer to choose. This game template is more-or-less modeled after the game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and the money amounts and the number of questions were both taken from the original game show. You may add or delete question slides (it’s fairly easy to do), however, to retain the similarities to the game show, it is preferred to keep the same 15 questions and their corresponding money amounts. (notes continued onto the next slide)notes continued onto the next slide

23 (continued from previous slide)continued from previous slide Question difficulty: We recommend that you arrange the questions so that: The easier questions are inserted into the first round (the first 10 questions.) Moderate-hard questions are inserted into the second round (questions 11-14.) The hardest question is inserted into the third round (question 15.) You do not have to do it this way, but this is what we recommend so that the questions get harder as the game goes on. This slideshow is set up in kiosk format. This means that the slides cannot be advanced manually and that the only way to advance slides is by clicking links. The reason we chose this format is so that if this game is played individually or in small groups where the teacher is not advancing the slides, students cannot just “click through” the entire presentation without answering the questions, as that would defeat the purpose of the game. It will be good to remember that you cannot manually advance slides and that you’ll have to click the buttons provided.
