The Perfect Religion

Which one of these was in the original 10 commandments? The 2 second rule about dropped food. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him... skin a cat. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. If you break a mirror it’ll be seven years of bad luck.

Actually there were 613 commandments in the Torah? Which one of the below isn’t one of them? Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge, but love your neighbor as yourself. You may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket or grasshopper, but all winged creatures with four legs you are to detest. Anyone who attacks his father or his mother must be put to death. When you relieve yourself, go outside of camp, dig a hole and cover up your excrement.

The Perfect Religion Creation for relationship Betrayal and separation ‘primitive’ religions Abraham Isaac Jacob, (Israel) Off to Egypt Out of Egypt (Exodus) Mt Sinai Into the Promised Land

Called to be Holy Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said, "This is what you are to say to the house of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel: 'You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' Exodus 19:3-6

Exodus 19:16-19 On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled. Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the Lord descended on it in fire. The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, the whole mountain trembled violently, and the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder. Then Moses spoke and the voice of God answered him.

Exodus 20:2-12 KJV "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 1.Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 2.Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, 3.Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; 4.Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 5.Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Exodus 20:13-17 KJV 6.Thou shalt not kill. 7.Thou shalt not commit adultery. 8.Thou shalt not steal. 9.Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. 10.Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

God is Holy Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the praise of Israel. Psalm 22:3 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy.“1 Peter 1:15-16 Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." Revelation 4:8 His judgment and wrath is the expression of a Holy God against violation of relationship and design.

Nahum 1:2-8 The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; the Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The Lord takes vengeance on his foes and maintains his wrath against his enemies. The Lord is slow to anger and great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished. The mountains quake before him and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, the world and all who live in it. Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; the rocks are shattered before him. The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him,

2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed.

Deuteronomy 28:1-4 If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock — the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

Deuteronomy 28:15 However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

Almighty God, Our Father Created the Universe and humans in His image To enjoy relationship with Him and each other. To rule over the planet, benevolently, according to His nature. The first humans betrayed God and sought what God provided from something, somewhere, someone else. God chose a people through Abraham, rescued them and revealed Himself and His ways to them so they could be blessed and demonstrate the perfect religion to the world.

But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy.“ 1 Peter 1:15-16
