1 1 HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION HAWAII ALTERNATE ASSESSMENT (HAA) SPRING 2005 RESULTS

2 2 Hawaii Alternate Assessment The Hawaii Alternate Assessment (HAA) is administered each spring to students who are severely cognitively disabled. Tasks are uniquely designed to address each students individual needs in language arts and mathematics. These results are compiled from the Spring 2005 administration of the HAA. Results are incorporated into the Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) status of our schools in compliance with the NCLB Act of 2001. Individual school results were distributed to each school by August 1, 2005. Due to modifications in the HAA test last spring, these results are not directly comparable to previous years.
