4  Dental hygienists are licensed healthcare professionals who are skilled in preventing diseases such as dental caries (cavities), periodontal (gum) disease and oral cancer through education and treatment.  A dental hygienist with a Baccalaureate Degree is prepared to assume roles as a clinician, an educator, a researcher, a change agent, a consumer advocate, and a manager.  They are licensed preventive oral health professionals who provide educational, clinical and therapeutic services that support total health through the promotion of optimal oral health.  http://www.dentistry.umn.edu/programs_admissions/dental_ hygiene_division/home.html

7  Tour will be on Tuesday, April 3 rd › 4:00pm-4:45pm  Meet on 4 th floor outside of simulation clinic › Down the hall and to the right of the escaladers  Sign-up if you have not done so already!

9  The next ADSA event will be on Thursday, February 23 rd ! › 5:30pm In the 3M Simulation Clinic › (4th floor Moos Tower, just follow the ASDA signs once you get to the 4th floor). › Impressions and pouring up casts. › Paired with a dental student for this event so make sure to take advantage of it by asking lots of questions!  No sign-up needed, just show up › As long as ASDA member
