Vocabulary Pixelation: The appearance of blockiness in an image after it has been enlarged. What had been a single pixel in the original image becomes a single-colored block in the enlarged version. The image on the left looks fairly smooth, but the enlarged version on the right shows pixelization.

Vocabulary Invoice: A bill issued by one who has provided products and/or services to a customer.

Vocabulary Raster Graphic: A computer image made up of small squares or "tiles" of color, called PIXELS. A raster graphic can be thought of like a tile mosaic; the image is broken up into tiny chunks. If you make a raster graphic larger, the tiles become bigger; this can result in a "stairstep" or mosaic appearance. All scanned images are examples of raster graphics. Examples: TIFF, GIF, JPG, BMP

Vocabulary Vector graphic: A computer image consisting of a variety of points, lines, rectangles, and other geometric shapes of different colors. Popular drawing programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, and Macromedia Freehand create vector graphics. erms.shtml

Vocabulary Storyboard A sequential series of sketches illustrating stages or scenes in a production. Used as a visual script or shooting plan.

Vocabulary Rule of Thirds Imaginary lines are drawn dividing the image into thirds both horizontally and vertically. You place important elements of your composition where these lines intersect.
