2. Texas Independence This helped expand America by allowing the Americans to gain independence from the Mexicans and now The Alamo would lead into the Mexican War which would help Texas become part of the United States.

3. Mexico City, Mexico/Alamo The whole conflict between the Mexicans and the Americans began during the Alamo but the Alamo was just basically a warning from the Mexicans to the Americans that they were more powerful and that was there land. Then after the Alamo Sam Houston led a number of 900 Texans to surprise the Mexicans and fight them and become victorious and forced by the Texans Santa Fe had to sign a treaty recognizing the Republic of Texas in Mexico City, Mexico. Nine years later in 1845 Texas became the 28 th state of the U.S. This had helped U.S. expansion even more and it was getting us closer to the West.

4. Rio Grand River/Mexico City, Mexico The reason the whole fight between the Americans and Mexicans broke out was, because the greed of us Americans to expand all the way across the Pacific Ocean and since the Mexicans were threatened by that they decided to take away freedom from the Americans living in Texas and that made the Americans mad and they wanted to fight for freedom and since they did fight and the Americans won that expanded U.S. territory.

5. Gold Rush The California Gold Rush caused many people to get Gold Fever which made many people move to California and that also caused Cultural Diffusion. This also caused people already on the land such as Mexicans and Indians to get treated like crap. The gold discovered in the Western state California attracted many people to the west.

6. Oregon Trail What attracted many people to Oregon was Religious Freedom, To trade Beaver Fur, Free Land, and a better life. Oregon had a lot of Beaver so traders were very attracted to Oregon because they could make major money off of Beaver Fur many people came to have free land or start a new life.

7. Trail Of Tears Many Americans felt the need for Gold so they decided that since they were the best they could just throw the Indians off of their land. The Indian Removal act began in Georgia once people discovered there was gold in Georgia people kept throwing Indians off of their land This caused the Trail. f Tears which Pushed the Indians to move from Georgia To Oklahoma.(Causing over 4,000 Indian Lives to be gone.) Now that the Indians were off of the land the Americans decided to claim Georgia as their land.

8. Sutter’s Mill This was the first area a man discovered Gold and he had tried to keep his finding a secret but it had got spread all the way around in California and this caused Cultural Diffusion in California because everyone had received “Gold Fever”.
