3 Camouflage  When an organism blends into the environment to hide from predators or to hunt prey.  Ex: A chameleon uses camouflage to hide from any predators

4 Hibernation  When an animal sleeps for a long period of time.  Ex: Squirrels hibernate during the winter

5 Dormancy  When plants rest for a long period of time.  Ex: A tree sheds its leaves for the winter

6 Courtship  When an animal tries to find a mate.  Ex: Birds migrating to find a mate

7 Migration  When an animal travels to another place for reasons of temperature, food, or courtship.  Salmon migrate upstream for many miles

8 Regeneration  When an organism regrows body parts  Ex: A newt can regenerate limbs within 10 weeks
