Exercise 1: Using Census 2000 data, find the number of people who identified themselves as Black or African American alone in Atlantic City and Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
Hint: AFF > Quick Start > select geographies>Under Topics go to >Year = 2000 > People>Race & Ethnicity>Black or African American>Race Alone or in Combination or Race and Hispanic or Latino
Exercise 2: Using address search, for address 40 Farragut Ave, Mays Landing, NJ ) identify the census tract, and 2.) what is the number of occupied housing units?
Hint: AFF >Address Search>double click on census tract> Locate QT-PL (Re-districting file)
Exercise 3: Using Census 2010 data, what is the percent of the population 18 years and over that identified themselves as American Indian and Alaska Native in New Jersey? Modify table to display percent columns only. Collapse all housing information.
Hint: AFF > Geographies > Select New Jersey from geography results > Click GO > Close overlay window > Check table QT-PL > View to find percent for American Indian and Alaska Native > Modify table to just show percent columns for Total population and 18 years and over. Collapse all housing information.
