2 Learning GOAL: I can find critical attributes of a Quadratic Function using my calculator and then graph the parabola 2 nd trace, zero (max, min), left bound, right bound…

3 A bottle rocket travels along a parabolic path that is represented by the following equation. Use your calculator to sketch the graph, find the maximum height, h, of the bottle rocket, and state the distance, d, it traveled before it touches the ground. If necessary, round to 2 decimal places.

4 FOR TOMORROWS QUIZ: * know the 3 types of “solutions” with the picture that goes with it. * from both forms be able to graph, labeling vertex, AOS and get the points in the right place. * Determine which way it opens and if there is a maximum or minimum. * For a word problem, determine the independent variable and sketch the graph. Find the maximum height and be able to determine when it hits the ground. * For an equation with “ichy” numbers, use the calculator to find the zero’s rounded to 2 decimal places.
