2 Materials Needed: 1. Binder 2. Pen, Pencil, Eraser, and Calculator 3. Work Boots, Coveralls, and Safety Glasses

3 Homework: Classwork and homework are an essential part of this course. Only by completing and keeping up in assignments can you expect success in this subject

4 Test: You are expected to show up to write your test on the assigned day.

5 Attendance: Be on time and have all materials for class (including textbook, calculator, pens, and pencils). Your attendance is essential to pass this course. You are expected to pick up any homework missed due to absences.

6 Extra Help: Should you have difficulty with this subject, extra help is available upon request. You are responsible to come for extra help if you need it.

7 Evaluation: Term 1 ___________________ Value 50% Term 2 ___________________ Value 50%

8 Classroom Procedures and Marking Scheme: 1. Lecture, Note Taking, Exercises, Worksheets and Homework. 2. Marks a) Tests20% each term b) Assignments20% each term c) Clean up 10% each term d) Projects 30% each term e) Shop Mark20% each term

9 Marking Scheme Continue: a) Test – 20% - Written tests to be completed in one hour during class. Approximately two to three per term. b) Assignments – 20% - Written assignments, to be completed at home or in class. Approximately three per term. c) Clean up – 10% - A mark will be given every day for clean up of the shop. d) Projects – 30% - This 30% will be marks compiled from daily projects. e) Shop Mark – 20% - Based on skills developed in the shop on a daily basis.
