7 Parks and paddling pools Jesus Green: open space, river, ice creams, children’s park, free tennis courts, paid entry open-air swimming pool. Llamas Land: Green space, childrens’ park, snacks and ice creams, large paddling pool. Small free car-park. Coleridge Road Recreation Ground: Open space, new ‘splash pad’ and paddling pool, new children’s park, free tennis courts. Free parking in roads nearby. Cherry Hinton Hall: open space, wooded area, walks, paddling pool, children’s park, ducks, free tennis courts. Free car-park. Abbey Splash Pad and swings (behind Abbey Pool). Milton Country Park. Walks, lake, 2 children’s parks, cafe, bike hire, park run, open air swimming lessons. Parking £2 in car-park or park in road leading to park for free (not on yellow lines!).

8 Indoors with children Soft play: Funky Funhouse (Chesterton), Cheeky Monkeys (Fulbourn), Whale of a Time (Bar Hill), Bury Lane (Melbourn). Wear socks. Scotsdales garden centre Pets at home shop! Cafes with play areas: Livingstones (near John Lewis), The Box Cafe (Norfolk Street), Charlie’s (Burleigh Street), The Missing Sock Pub. Parkside and Abbey Swimming Pools. Abbey is free (but busy) on Tues afternoon if you get a voucher from local children’s centre.
