Project Objective The objective of our project is to study and collect data on the traffic flow into the CoRec downstairs facility. We will be watching the entrances on the East and West ends. Along with number of people entering we will correlate this to the queue time for specific equipment (ie. treadmills, elliptical, bikes)

Site Location

Data Collection Data Collection dates: October 15 th and October 20 th. Times: 0900-1000 and 1800-1900 2 members collected data at entrances. The other 3 monitored queue times for equipment. Our resources were stop watches, clipboards, and count sheets.

Hypothesis We expect to determine, based on the data we collect, the best times for Co-Rec usage. We also expect to learn the maximum queue times for aerobic machines at assumed peak usage times.

Results: 10/15/09

Results:10/20/09

Conclusion of Results The data collected supported our hypothesis that there is a correlation between the number of arriving students and the length of queue lines on the equipment. Also we saw that the number of Co-Rec members greatly increased in the evening in comparison to the morning.
