Clinical Working Group Face to Face Update

Accomplishments at Face to Face –The Working Group members developed two User Stories during the F2F Generic User Story Expanded Analysis for Diabetic Care in an Outpatient Setting –Generic User Story – Information Requestor queries distributed data sources Uses the Clinical Information Model for query-able content –The Clinical Information Model will be extended to incorporate Query Health specific data elements (e.g. encounters) To be constrained by specific User Stories (domains, query types, et. al.)

Expanded Analysis User Story - Status –Expanded Analysis User Story - Public health agency queries data sources on status of diabetic patients Leverages Clinical Quality Measure data Adds demographic data and risk stratification score Allows for drill downs by age, location, practice, care setting Regenstrief and NYC Department of Public Health volunteered to become pilot sites

Consensus and Next Steps Discuss common terminology Counts vs. numerator/denominator Reached verbal consensus on the major components of the Use Case and Functional Requirements Includes user stories, actors, use case diagram, activity diagram, data elements, interoperability and system requirements Next steps Integrate best practice and other operational requirements from Operations Working Group Support team will incorporate F2F outcomes into the full Use Case draft

Operations Working Group Face to Face Update

Reviewed the ‘Operational Requirements for Query Health’ - a narrative description of the operational requirements that will govern the Generic User Story The workgroup decided that the original document was too detailed for a generic user story and agreed to list only high level operational requirements that could be applied to any user story. The result is a much shorter and more concise expression of operational considerations. Developing a Data Use Agreement template for a specific user story is on hold until the specific user story is finalized Key Topics Covered/Discussed during the F2F

Operations Working Group Next Steps Next Steps Our next meeting will take place on Thursday, October 27, 11am-12pm EDT Review the Operational Requirements for Query Health Document that was completed during the F2F last week (latest version is available on the wiki) Review the ‘Expanded Analysis for Diabetic Care in an Outpatient Setting’ user story – after it is finalized by the Clinical Working Group – in preparation for a discussion of specific operational requirements
