Our Foundation for Gratitude

1 Timothy 3:1-5 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self- control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people

Romans 1:21-22 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools

Psalm 10:4 In his pride the wicked does not seek God; in all his thoughts there is no room for Him.

Psalm 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits

Hosea 13:6 When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me ProsperityPrideForgetfulness

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God

Colossians 2:6-7 As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving

Colossians 3:15- 16 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him

Ephesians 5:18-20 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Secured Our Salvation (vs. 9) – I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. (vs. 11) – I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. (vs. 17-18) – For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father."

Protects & Keeps Us (vs. 9) – I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture

Protects & Keeps Us (vs. 9) – I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture (vs. 28-29) – I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand

Provides Abundantly (vs. 10b) – I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose

JOHN 10:1-10 …A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers." This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them. So Jesus again said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them…

JOHN 10:1-10 … I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly

Ezekiel 34:23-24 And I will set up over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he shall feed them: he shall feed them and be their shepherd. And I, the LORD, will be their God, and my servant David shall be prince among them. I am the LORD; I have spoken
