2 Tradition Japan’s tradition is the family has a good lunch and they pray first than they eat. They put lights on their houses. If the children don’t believe in Santa Claus presents are no longer given to the children.

3 Traditions December 25 th is not a national holiday in Japan. December 23 rd, which is the birth date of the emperor, is a national holiday. Parties are often held for children with games and dancing.

4 Holidays Japanese put Christmas lights on their trees. They sell cakes when it is not Christmas Eve yet. Moms and dads give presents to their children. The children trade presents with their friends or family.

5 Holidays Japanese think Christmas is not a holiday. They think it is happiness spread to their family. Christmas lighting is often up at the end of October.

7 Food The people that are girlfriend and boyfriend go to a fancy restaurant and eat. Japanese eat Christmas cake on Christmas Eve, and they eat KFC and turkey and ham. Japanese eat chicken and sponge cake with trees and flowers to make it look like Santa Clause.

9 Clothing The kimono is what Japanese wear on traditional days. Both women and men wear kimonos.
