2. What is the Rosalind Franklin Room? Rooms formerly know as syn 1 and syn 2 re-designed and re- equipped 19 I-pads with some preloaded apps, fast wireless internet, 2 IWBs (smart), 2 large flat screen devices Apple TV enabled Series of round tables sitting 6 per table – can accommodate large groups and team teaching It is rather colourful!

3. What is it for? It is an experimental room Using new technologies to facilitate collaborative learning, and active learning – away from the teacher dominated linear lesson. Innovations TLC - Putting technology in the service of learning not for its own sake – honest evaluation of what works and what doesn’t shared with everybody at the end of this half term

4. What is the Rationale? To achieve outstanding and beyond we must do something different. We need to plan and prepare for what a 21 st century ICT infrastructure might look like – for such an infrastructure to be in the service of learning we as teachers are an essential part of that planning process

5. What is the Plan? A yearly budget for hardware and software An Innovations TLC group who will plan, deliver and evaluate teaching and learning projects using the new room The new room will be generally bookable through Spencer
