1. 1 Green Solutions The aim of Green Solutions is to encourage innovation and help share green knowledge, consistent with Skanska’s vision of being the leading green project developer and contractor. The award is open to any member of the Skanska supply-chain including consultants, trade-contractors and suppliers. What is a Green Solution: A product or service that is an integral part of a project It provides environmental and economic benefits to our customers – has a strong business case Has been used successfully at least once Is transferable to Skanska Is strategically important to Skanska’s business What a Green solution is not: A construction project An internal process A research project A concept or a prototype Requirements: In considering the above your submission should be consistent with Skanska’s Sustainable Procurement Policy and address one or more of the following, with quantifiable benefits: Energy efficiency and / or use of alternative energy Reduced emissions Effective use of materials Improved water quality and preservation Award and Recognition A judging panel with representatives from Skanska will choose the winning Green Solution.
