15 Vientiane, Lao Peoples Democratic Republic, 30-31 July 201215 ITU Sector or Associate Membership BTRC encourages the Govt owned companies to be ITU sector member, The reduced fee for developing country is an incentive here With the recent decrease in the membership fee for Academia, BTRC is contacting the famous Universities to become sector member Collaboration with Multinationals to encourage their participation in developing local industry Increasing participation in ITU processes

16 Vientiane, Lao Peoples Democratic Republic, 30-31 July 201216 Participation in Study Groups and Focus Groups With the focused effort, regularly participating in Study Group & Focus group meetings Active in the WTSA & WCIT preparation process with contribution and participation Planning for more active role in TSAG & expert group meetings in terms of contribution Increasing participation in ITU processes

Capacity building effort continues to send meaningful contribution on regular basis to different forums Increasing participation in ITU processes

19 Vientiane, Lao Peoples Democratic Republic, 30-31 July 201219 Nominating representatives, e.g to serve as Study Group chairs, vice chairs or rapporteurs Have set 03 years plan to develop capacity to become expert in the Study Groups The materialization of ITU assisted regional testing lab and effective participation of country personnel would ensure smooth capacity development Regular training programs in collaboration of ITU & Sector members (actively participating in Study Groups) would help much Increasing participation in ITU processes

20 Vientiane, Lao Peoples Democratic Republic, 30-31 July 201220 Entering Proposals, in WTSA, eg on future study questions and work programmes The prompt and effective measures regarding 7 th rung of the ladder would drive to this level The regional preparatory process for WTSA has been proved very good platform to enlighten new members to the highest contributing level Bangladesh see itself at this rung from WTSA 2016 Increasing participation in ITU processes
