1  Daily Objective: To analyze your results on your latest AP exam so you pass your AP exam in May.  Daily Assignments:  Pass out papers, get organized for next class’ notebook check  Do Reflection on The House on Mango Street AP exam and submit it to www.turnitin.com by March 27www.turnitin.com  Do peer editing of three essays given to you  Read like a Rock Star or do other assignments on board if not working on Reflection/Peer Editing assignment

2  Daily Objective: To successfully take a quiz on the American nonfiction book we read for RLARS.  Daily Assignments:  A Day Students—Notebook check  Quiz on RLARS book  On laptops, work on Great Test Makers are Great Test Takers assignment or submitting favorite JQ to turnitin.com  If not on laptops, read Dave Barry’s Hits Below the Beltway (p. 372-377) and come up with 10 Additional Amendments to the Constitution; we will do something on this is a group at the end of class

3  Daily Objective: To understand and analyze significant historical literature of Early American history.  Daily Assignments:  Listen to opening part of “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” (p. 106)  B Day Students- Notebook check  On laptops, work on Great Test Makers are Great Test Takers assignment  In groups at the end of class—  Read from Poor Richard’s Almanack (p. 171-172) and come up with 10 modern aphorisms in your group  If not on laptops,  Finish reading “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” (p. 106-111) and do questions  Read from Benjamin Franklin’s The Autobiography (p. 166-170); write a summary of it on an Exit Ticket

4  Daily Objective: To successfully write an analysis of a poem.  Daily Assignments:  Work on rough draft of poem analysis essay- due tomorrow night at 11:59 pm (1 st - laptops; 3 rd and 4 th in Freshmen Computer Lab) AND submit favorite journal to Discussion Board of www.turnitin.com  When finished, read your Read like a Rock Star book and prepare for next class’ quiz  Last ten minutes—figure out what your poem will be for Poetry Alive!; you can reserve your poem next class period AND organize your notebook for next class’ notebook check

5  Daily Objective: To successfully take a quiz on the British literature book we read for RLARS.  Daily Assignments:  Formally assign Literary Analysis Research Paper (1A go over everything; 3A and 4A go over each assignment)  Quiz on RLARS book  I will check notebook as you work on quiz  As you finish quiz, take a laptop and do peer editing on poem analysis essay AND submit favorite journal to Discussion Board of www.turnitin.comwww.turnitin.com  Continue reading poems of the Romantic Age
