*Any time there is a transportation change, parent must send a HANDWRITTEN note with student’s name, the date, and what the change is. This note must come from the student’s guardian. *If we do not have a note, the student will go home their usual way.

*When a student is absent, parent must send in a HANDWRITTEN excuse note/doctors note with reason for absence. (from guardian) *Student will make-up work when they return. *If you know there will be an extended absence and you want to pick up the work to do while out, the teacher must have 24 hour notice to prepare assignments.

Dress Code BCS standards for dress reflect a "common sense" and a concern for each child's safety, cleanliness, and sense of modesty. There is a strong relationship between appropriate attire and a positive learning environment. Apparel or appearance which tends to draw attention to an individual, rather that to the learning environment, must be avoided.

Students are welcome to bring their cell phone to school. The BCS policy sates that students may NOT possess any type of phone or communication device that is TURNED ON during the regular school day. Ellendale offers a safe, secure place for students to store their phones during the day in the office. Any student who brings a personal cell phone or communication device should bring it to the office on their way to their classroom each morning. They may pick them up at their dismissal time. Keeping the phones in the office provides safety, security, and reduces the risk of phones being broken.

We are looking forward to a great year with you all! **This PowerPoint will be on our webpage for you to reference throughout the year**
