I already know how the airways close. I already know how asthma can affect a person and their family. I already know how exercise and smoke affects a person with asthmas breathing. I already know how if you have asthma it can happen at any time and there are certain prossegers you will have to go throw to get over an asthma attack.

I want to know how you can minimize the affects of asthma. How dose asthma affects kids? What are the signs of asthma? How often dose asthma occur in kids? How dose an asthma attack compare to a rash?

I chose my topic asthma because my little brother and sister and my grandpa have asthma. First we went to the library. Then we learned how to use books for research in the library. Then we went back to the room. We created delicious accounts. I learned how to use power library. I then started to find a good article on asthma and I created my power point.

One of the ways to minimize the affects of asthma is to keep a clean environment.(dust mites) Some signs are coughing, wheezing, difficaulty, in breathing alleges. It is possible that animal hair and weather patterns may also affect asthma. You can minimize the affects by rapping mattresses in plastic. A rash is just like an asthma attack it will swell just like the airways would if you were having an asthma attack.

More than 5 percent of children across the United States had asthma attacks in the past year. 4 million children had asthma attacks in 2003 that required medical intervention, including rescue medicines, emergency room visits and hospitalization. Nearly a quarter of children with asthma have visited the emergency room in the past year. Asthma is the leading reason children miss school, adding up to 12.8 million school days lost each year in the United States. Asthma will affect a child for their entire life. They will not be able to participate in very extensive work. An example is running a long distance, doing a lot of farm work like throwing hay bales and ect.

I can access power library now. I have learned how to use power point. I learned how to properly cite my work.
