1. World Weekend of Prayer for Children at Risk 7th – 8th June 2008

2. “I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.

3. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink

4. I was a stranger and you invited me in

5. I needed clothes and you clothed me

6. I was sick and you looked after me

7. I was in prison and you came to visit me”

8. Then the righteous will answer him,

9. “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you

10. or thirsty and give you something to drink?

11. When did we see you a stranger and invite you in

12. or needing clothes and clothe you?

13. When did we see you sick or in prison

14. And go to visit you?”

15. The King will reply

16. “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine

17. You did it for me.”

18. Lord Jesus, Thank you for your love for every child throughout the world. Thank you Lord Jesus that you know what it is to be human, that you understand pain and suffering and hear the cries of the needy. Thank you that you intercede on our behalf daily, please strengthen those who work on behalf of the children of the world who are unable to protect themselves. Saviour, please give us eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to love all your children, that we might serve them in love and be dedicated to them. Father, please watch over each of the projects reaching out to children. Please give them encouragement and show them the fruits of their work, that more children may come to know you and have the chance of a better future. Thank you that you know each child by name and hear our prayers for them all Amen. 2008 Prayer for Children at Risk
