9  Data Integrity  Last Updated on Saturday, January 06, 2007 at 6:02 AM  Data integrity is a priority of the Kentucky Department of Education. The Office of District Support Services, Division of School Finance, has oversight of the accuracy of much of the financial and statistical data being reported by local school districts. Because so many decisions that affect district budgets and operations are made by KDE, the Kentucky General Assembly, and the federal government are based on this data, it is imperative that it be as accurate as possible.  Regional data integrity meetings are periodically held around the state to inform local school districts of changes and enhancements to required reporting that will facilitate the accuracy and comparability of the data.  Data integrity mandates, such as those presented at regional meetings, will be addressed on this page. In addition, district data will periodically be reported in a format that will encourage analytical review by the district and will support the changes requested by the department.
