14.  1993- Gates goes to Omaha to buy his wife an engagement ring, at Warren Buffet’s jewelry store.

15.  1994- Bill Gates gets married at Hawaii on New Years Day to Melinda French.

16.  1997- 340,000 shares of stock were sold by Bill Gates and he collected 39,142,500 dollars from this sale.

17.  7 June 2000- A judge rules Microsoft be split into to company’s, stating Microsoft as an “abusive monopoly.”

18.  2000- Bill and Melinda Gates make the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. They donate billions of dollars to this foundation.

19.  2001- Microsoft goes into the Gaming market with the production of the Xbox.

20.  27 June 2008- Bill Gates retires from his full-time duties to focus on the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. He plans to still be the chairman of Microsoft for life.
