5 5 Bookstart  Bookstart is one of the most respected early intervention programmes in the world  It gives cultural and creative access to every child  Bookstart began in 1992 and is almost 20 years old!  Became the first national bookgifting programme in the world in 2000  More than 24 countries have followed in Bookstart’s footsteps and set up similar programmes
