Annunziato/TH Group OECD New Data BASE for JRC Data STRESA: Storage of Thermal Reactor Safety DataBase u An innovative data-base is being developed in order to store the data from l LOBI facility l FARO facility l KROTOS facility l any other JRC facility if needed u The data-base is Web-based and interactively should allow to retrieve l For each test facility n the description documents n the original test facility drawings n the available input decks l The list of tests performed and for each test n the documents produced for each test n the plots related to each single test

Annunziato/TH Group OECD Actual status of STRESA database u For the moment the following items has been introduced in the database: l LOBI (1 GBytes) n All the LOBI test documents (EDR, QLR) scanned from originals n All the LOBI tests data (70 experiments) n Missing: drawings, input decks, some general documents l FARO (70 Mbytes) n Part of the documentation (EDR, QLR) created from Word n All the FARO test data (14 experiments) n Missing: some documents, drawings, input decks, films l KROTOS (20 Mbytes) n Part of the documentation (EDR, QLR) created from Word n All the KROTOS data (29 experiments) n Missing: some documents, drawings, input decks, films

Annunziato/TH Group OECD STRESA Access policy u The Internet URL is at the moment the following: l http://asa2.sti.jrc.it/stresa u Anybody can connect but has to register him/herself l Basic registration level (Level 0) n to see the experiments performed for each facility l Level 1 n to see the documents available for each test l Level 2 n to see and/or download the documents and the experimental data

Annunziato/TH Group OECD STRESA vs CERTA u This database should be one node of the more wider CERTA database, for which a proposal has been submitted to the EU-FP5 SCA. u The CERTA database has been proposed for include the following facilities and codes: CERTA: European Network for the Consolidation of the Integral System Experimental Data Bases for Reactor Thermal-Hydraulic Safety Analysis

Annunziato/TH Group OECD CONCLUSIONS u A large amount of experimental data has been produced at JRC u The risk of data-loss and of paper-document loss is an important issue u A new web-based data base (STRESA) is being developed to allocate JRC experimental data, documentation, and input decks u The prospected amount of data should not exceed 2-3 Gbytes for LOBI, FARO and KROTOS u STRESA database could be one node of the CERTA database that has been proposed to EU
