One can achieve salvation by faith alone. The Bible is the ultimate authority. All humans are equal before God. The Lutheran Church was the first of the Protestant Churches. Luther wrote the 95 Theses- a list of 95 complaints against the Catholic Church. Posted on the door of a church in Wittenberg, Germany. A religious and spiritual revolution.

4 John Calvin God has determined in advance who will be saved and who will be damned (predestination) Faith is revealed by living a good life. John Calvin started the Calvinist Church- another major Protestant Branch of Christianity. Calvin helped to expand the Protestant movement. A religious and spiritual revolution.
