8 Learning and Teaching Development Working collaboratively with the NET and local English teachers to support the development of:  innovative learning and teaching strategies, activities and programmes  effective resource materials for English language teaching  an environment conducive to language learning

9 How?  Promoting a collaborative culture  Encouraging risk taking  Helping to create a climate of change  Attending planning meetings  Visiting schools regularly  Classroom support  Conducting workshops  Doing case studies

11 Curriculum Development Working collaboratively with the NET and local English teachers to facilitate and support:  increased awareness of the English curriculum guides  the implementation of good practice through the English language curriculum

Promoting and facilitating:  Familiarization with the English Language Curriculum Guide  Contextual lesson planning  Integrated programmes – e.g. phonics, text types  Textbook adaptation – page/s, units, modules  Thematic units – e.g. family, environment  School-based curriculum development  Assessment  Reflexive practise

14 Professional Development Planning and conducting:  centralised staff development programmes for NETs and the school English teacher [SETs] Facilitating and supporting:  school-based workshops and experience sharing sessions conducted by the NETs/SETs

15 How?  Sharing related resources  Helping develop content  Supporting delivery  Acting as a co-presenter during presentations  Disseminating good practice - follow up to ATT PD workshops  Organising inter school visits
