3 STATE YOUTH VISION TEAM VISION The California State Youth Vision Team (SYVT) shall be recognized as a bridge to linking public, private, for profit and nonprofit resources to connect youth most in need, ages 14 – 24, with youth serving agencies and high-growth employment opportunities. MISSION The SYVT supports its vision by coordinating resources with member agencies/organizations, exchanging information, and developing shared goals in order to empower its members to better serve disconnected youth, to include: Foster Youth, Juvenile Justice Youth, Youth of Incarcerated Parents, Youth with Disabilities, Migrant Youth, Native American and American Indian Youth, Out of School Youth, high school dropouts, runaway and homeless youth.

6 Youth Forums (planned)  Share information on free and/or low-cost resources for eligible youth via our resource matrix  Create and strengthen regional partnerships and collaborations between community, social service, education, conservation, justice, WIA and support services for youth most in need  Identify effective, collaborative service models  Support regional development of youth services mapping to leverage and improve access services

7 Green Workforce Initiative  Exploring ways to connect youth into green related career development, training and work experience  Positive youth development and community improvement opportunities  More specific examples next
