5 Continuing Medical Education The Interamerican College of Physicians and Surgeons has been surveyed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and has been awarded accreditation as a sponsor of continuing medical education for physicians

7 Educational Objectives Provide private-practice Hispanic primary care physicians with the knowledge, skills, and motivation necessary to correctly screen, test, and counsel their patients for HIV infection; detect and change private- practice Hispanic primary care physicians’ negative attitudes towards homosexuality, drug addiction, and other HIV/AIDS-related issues; and increase the number of private-practice Hispanic primary care physicians who are willing to learn more about HIV/AIDS in order to begin managing patients with this disease.
