12 Leonardo-Project "Healthy Languages", Coordinator: BFI Salzburg 12 Consequences of misunderstandings longer bedridden periods due to unclear diagnosis unnecessary examinations wrong medical care risk of chronic disease lacking compliance on behalf of the patients unnecessary costs

13 Leonardo-Project "Healthy Languages", Coordinator: BFI Salzburg 13 2) Aims of the project: Increase the quality of communication between health care professionals and patients Promote the understanding of different cultures Develop new, practically oriented teaching models and material Increase the mobility within the health sector

17 Leonardo-Project "Healthy Languages", Coordinator: BFI Salzburg 17 European Partners: Germany (Volkshochschule Stuttgart - a further education institute) Great Britain (Newham College of Further Education, in London, which is one of the biggest educational institutes in London) Italy (Alpha & Beta, a language school in Bolzano und Meran, which has provided language courses for nursing schools for many years) The Czech Republic (Euro Staff, Agency and Training College for qualified personnel in the social and health sector in Prague) and Slovenia (Srednja Zdravstvena Sola, a nursing school in Ljubljana ).
