Mission Work Right Here At Home St. Peter Worship at Key to Life Saturday, June 27th

Welcome to St. Peter! We thank you for joining us for worship this Fifth Sunday after our Lord’s Pentecost. When you think about missions and missionaries, what comes to mind? Perhaps you think about foreign lands that are half way around the world. Like charity, mission work begins at home. We are Christ’s ambassadors as we share the gospel with those who are lost and who are living right here in our country. The harvest is plentiful, so let’s get to work and lift high Jesus’ cross because it’s the key to eternal life for all!

Welcome to St. Peter! There are friendship registers at the end of each row of chairs. Please take a moment to give us your information so that we have a record of your time with us today. Thank you!

For Our Guests If you have questions, let us try to help. Speak with an usher, greeter, or the person next to you. If you’d like to learn more about St. Peter and its ministry, please talk to a pastor or member after the service.

Prayer before Worship Lord Jesus, thank you for bringing me to faith so that I trust in you as my personal Savior. Open my eyes to see how many people in our community and country are lost without you. Strengthen my determination to share the gospel with my words, my actions, my prayers and my offerings. Amen.

Please be courteous and silence all pagers and cell phones. Thank you

OUR COMMUNION PRACTICE In the Sacrament of Holy Communion, we express unity with our Savior and those who share our faith and stand on the teachings of God’s Word. 42 CHRIST’S PURPOSE IN EVANGELISM

Nicene Creed All: We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

Nicene Creed All: We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father.

Nicene Creed All: Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and became fully human.

Nicene Creed All: For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate. He suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures.

Nicene Creed All: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

Nicene Creed All: We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who in unity with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified,

Nicene Creed All: who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy Christian and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
